Gordon Strachan said Rangers deserved their Old Firm victory |
Celtic boss Gordon Strachan said his side failed to raise their game in the 2-0 Old Firm defeat by Rangers. "I thought Rangers were the better team. They played winning football, we played testimonial football," he said.
"It's up to the players how they want to perform in terms of winning tackles and passing the ball.
"There is a hollow feeling after that performance, because it wasn't a game really. We are the champions, but we were not good today," Strachan added.
The Celtic manager sought to play down a flag-waving incident involving goalkeeper Artur Boruc at the end of the game.
The Polish international ran to the Celtic fans and took a champions flag from one of the supporters, before waving it as he made his way up the tunnel.
"If anybody else is concerned then they can come and see me," said Strachan.
"I've no idea (if it was a provocative gesture). Maybe he was enjoying himself."
