Robinson made six first-team appearances for Palace last season
Carlisle United manager John Ward is hoping trialist Ashley-Paul Robinson can impress following his controversial release by Crystal Palace.
The 19-year-old was told to find another club after he revealed he was going to Fulham on trial on his social networking website.
"Ashley-Paul comes up with a little bit of background," the Cumbrians boss told BBC Radio Cumbria.
"But we are prepared to have a look and make decisions onward after that."
Robinson joined Crystal Palace as a 14-year-old and made his first-team breakthrough last season, making his debut at Preston in March.
The highly-rated winger made six appearances in total and was offered a new deal by the club at the end of the season.
The contract offer was withdrawn after details of his trial at Fulham became public.

"Everyone has said to me to get hold of him and have a look at him," Ward said.
"He again is another guy that is a bit short of match fitness but we have had him for a couple of days. He is certainly not short of confidence though."
Ward has also asked trialist defender Tyrone Cameron to extend his stay with the club after impressing following his release by Fulham.
"I have sat with Tyrone and I have said to him that we would like a longer look at him, so we would extend the period for him to stay at the football club," he said.
"He has got the weekend to chat to his parents and discuss it with them and then we'll discuss where he feels he is at.
"I am wanting to keep him but he is one certainly for the future. He is a developing player."
