Carlisle midfielder Paul Thirlwell, who has not played since mid-September, is facing a further month on the sidelines with a calf problem. "Paul had a scan, which has shown a rupture of a muscle fibre, which wasn't what we had expected," physio Neil Dalton told the Cumbrians' website.
"It's quite bad news, as it means he'll be out for about a month.
"He had trained with us, and we thought it was getting better, but it hasn't, so we sent him for the second scan."
