Carlisle assistant manager Greg Abbott has signed a two-year contract extension at Brunton Park. Abbott joined the Cumbrians to partner boss Neil McDonald in August 2006 and took temporary charge following McDonald's exit earlier this season.
The new deal will keep him at the club until the summer of 2010 where he is number two to new boss John Ward.
Abbott told the club website: "John has given me plenty of responsibility and I can continue working with the players."
