Carlisle manager Neil McDonald has dispelled rumours that first team coach Greg Abbott is wanted by Bradford to fill their vacant managerial position. "It's pure speculation," McDonald told BBC Radio Cumbria. "Abbot is a vitally important member of staff here, and I believe he is very happy.
"It's only natural given his previous history with Bradford that he was going to be linked with the job."
Abbott made 318 appearances for the Bantams as a player during the 1980s.
