Carlisle have appointed Greg Abbott as their new first-team coach after he left his job as academy coach at Leeds. The two clubs have agreed a compensation package which will allow the 42-year-old to assist Cumbrians manager Neil McDonald at Brunton Park.
Abbott told Carlisle's website: "I've come to a club that has had two promotions on the bounce and I'm hopeful we can keep the ball rolling.
"I've loved every minute at Leeds but I want to test myself at senior level."
