Parry says he has missed the international scene

Cardiff striker Paul Parry is to end his self-imposed international exile in time for Wales' World Cup qualifying campaign.

Parry, 27, has been absent from the Welsh set up for almost a year citing personal reasons.

But he is ready to tell Wales boss John Toshack he wants to play again starting with next month's warm-up with Georgia.

"My mind is refreshed, I just want to concentrate on football and Wales will be part of it," said Parry.

But his decision to withdraw from Wales duties last year was branded "silly" by former Cardiff captain Jason Perry who accused him of "cutting off his nose to spite his face".

Now Parry said he is looking forward to starting over again.

"I will probably have a chat with John before the qualifier," he added.

"I have missed it [international football] and maybe there are a few regrets at not making myself available for a few of the games.

"But now I'm looking forward to it."
