Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink has signed for Cardiff City |
Striker Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink has agreed a one-year-deal to join Cardiff City. The 35-year-old Dutchman has been without a club since being released by Charlton Athletic last season.
He was on the verge of a move to Leicester City but that broke down at the weekend.
That alerted the Bluebirds with chairman Peter Ridsdale keen to link up with Hasselbaink again, after working with him at Leeds United.

Hasselbaink met with Ridsdale earlier in the week and agreed to join Cardiff on a one-year-deal today.
Bluebirds manager Dave Jones vowed this week to bring in a new forward before the transfer window closes at the end of the month.
Hasselbaink is the latest big signing to head to Ninian Park with former England internationals Robbie Fowler and Trevor Sinclair already at the club.
He will not play for the Bluebirds against QPR this weekend, and will link up with his new team-mates on Monday.
