Trevor Sinclair joined Cardiff as a free agent |
Trevor Sinclair says he signed for Cardiff City because he believes the Championship club has great potential. The former England wing, 34, arrived at Ninian Park last week after being released by Manchester City.
"It looks like a club on the up, and they've got the new stadium planned," Sinclair told the Cardiff website.
"Cardiff boss Dave Jones appealed to me, he looked ambitious, he looked like he really wanted me and he said the club is striving to do good things."
Sinclair made his Cardiff debut on Saturday as the Welsh club concluded its pre-season tour to Portugal with a 1-0 win over Vitoria de Setubal.
He looked bright and slotted in well with his new team-mates, with Sinclair promising he has a lot to offer despite his veteran status.
"I'm still hungry, I'm still ambitious," Sinclair added. "I don't want to finish playing football quietly and go out without recognition.
"I want to go out with a bang, I feel I've still got a few years to go and I'm just glad for the opportunity that Dave and Cardiff have given me."
