Loovens impressed during his season on loan at Cardiff |
Glenn Loovens has completed his move from Feyenoord to Cardiff City. Loovens has been on loan at Ninian Park this season, but Cardiff have concluded a permanent deal with the Dutch side for the impressive centre back.
"I've really enjoyed it here and now we have come to agreement for me to stay," 22-year-old Loovens told Cardiff's official website.
"I'd already made my decision to leave Feyenoord and my feeling is good for this club, it wasn't a big decision."
Bluebirds manager Dave Jones says he is delighted to have secured the Dutch centre-back on a permanent basis.
"He has been a big part of this season and he's done well," said Jones.
"Glenn is a young boy, still only 22, who is learning and he needs to improve on a lot of his game.
"Now he is our player and not just here on loan we can do more with him.
"He has never played so many games in all his life and has had to adapt to that. He was a big signing - and an important one."
