Cardiff City's hopes of signing on-loan defender Glenn Loovens permanently from Feyenoord have reached an impasse. The Bluebirds were thought to be close to securing the 22-year-old ex-Dutch Under-21 international - on a season long loan in Wales - for �250,000.
But Feyenoord have dismissed those reports, and Cardiff boss Dave Jones says that, although negotiations are continuing, they are at "stalemate".
Loovens has made 28 appearances this season and scored two goals.
