Cardiff midfielder Richard Langley is spending a week on trial with Championship rivals Crystal Palace. The Jamaican international is looking for a move after being told he has no future at Ninian Park.
Said Eagles boss Iain Dowie: "I know Richard from our time at QPR and we'll see if he likes us and we like him.
"He has a few problems at Cardiff and I thought it would be good to take him out of that environment and see if we can give him a chance here."
Cardiff want to off-load Langley, one of the club's highest earners, to cut their wage bill and release funds to buy a striker.
