The U's manager was delighted with his side's performance against Rushden and reserved special praise for striker Mark Beesley who scored both of Cambridge's goals.
"To be honest I'd had a bit of a go at the strikers at half-time as I thought their hold-up play could have been better," said Quinn.
If we play like we did against Rushden then Stafford will have a few problems

"But that was the response you look for as a manager. You want people to say 'I'll show you' instead of feeling down and not performing.
"Mark Beesley took his goals really well and that will give him massive confidence."
The U's now take on already-relegated bottom side Stafford at the Abbey Stadium this Saturday and Quinn has urged his side to continue their recent form.
"If we play like we did against Rushden then Stafford will have a few problems," he said.
He also has to check on U's captain Danny Brown, who went off in the 81st minute against Rushden.
"He fell on his shoulder," said Quinn. "It came out of its joint and went back in again.
"He'll be sore for a few days and the physio will have a look at him and we'll see if there's any reaction in the joint between now and Saturday."
