Boylan was a losing finalist with Canvey Island in the 2004 FA Trophy |
Cambridge United striker Lee Boylan was stretchered off with a shoulder problem during Saturday's 3-0 friendly victory at Bedford Town. Boylan, who joined from Chelmsford City earlier this summer, fell awkwardly while attempting an overhead kick.
"Lee is inconsiderable pain," physio Greg Reid told the club website.
"The immediate treatment plan is to immobilise his shoulder, refer him to hospital for X-rays and allow the area to settle for 48 hours."
He added: "Once we have the results of the X-rays, following reassessment on Monday, we will be in a better position to estimate the expected recovery timeframe."
