Cambridge United have signed striker Lee Boylan on a free transfer from Chelmsford City. Boylan, 28, returns to the Conference top-flight after a previous prolific spell with Canvey Island and a short stay at Grays Athletic last season.
Boss Jimmy Quinn told the U's website: "Lee is a proven goalscorer."
Cambridge have also signed ex-Yeovil and Torquay left-back Stephen Reed, 21, who has joined Boylan in agreeing an initial 12-month deal.
