Morrison is training with the Blues following similar recent spells with Newcastle United and Watford.

However, U's boss Rob Newman will not allow the 18-year-old to go elsewhere without a deal in place if a move to Chelsea does not come to fruition.

"He's a Cambridge player and he appreciates that, so after this spell at Chelsea he'll concentrate on being here," Newman told his club's website.
