Bury have won the chase to sign Peterborough defender Ben Futcher. Mansfield had also offered Futcher a deal at Field Mill after he was released from the final 12 months of his contract with the Posh.
Futcher's move to Gigg Lane means he will work again with Bury director of football Keith Alexander, who was previously his manager at Lincoln City.
The 26-year-old has also had spells with Boston United and Grimsby Town after starting his career at Oldham.
