McFarland's men have four games left to secure promotion
Burton Albion manager Roy McFarland says there is no danger of his table-topping side panicking despite a second consecutive Blue Square Premier defeat.
The Brewers are still eight points clear of Torquay, who won 1-0 at the Pirelli Stadium on Monday.
But the Gulls have played one game less and Histon would be just two points off top if they won their games in hand.
However, McFarland told BBC Radio Derby: "We have a team that is still top of the league. It's in our hands."
McFarland's men still have to play both Histon and Torquay in a challenging final four fixtures.
And they also face automatic promotion-hopefuls Kidderminster Harriers and play-off chasing Oxford United.
The Brewers were reduced to 10 men for the second consecutive game on Monday.
Striker Greg Pearson was sent off late in the first half with Burton already trailing 1-0.
But McFarland said his side must not dwell on the setback.
"There are four games left and we have it all to play for," he said.
"It was a disappointing night [against Torquay] as it was last Saturday [4-0 defeat against Crawley] but we have to pick ourselves up."
