Burnley defender Graham Alexander targets promotion.
Alexander moved to Burnley in 2007 from local rivals Preston North End
Burnley defender Graham Alexander believes they are ready to bounce straight back to the Premier League.
The Clarets were relegated after just one season in the top flight following promotion in 2009.
"The disappointment has gone now and there are enough players in the squad who want to win and get promoted," Alexander, 38, told the club website.
"We've got a competitive squad and there is a lot of players who can come into the first team, which is vital."
The Scotland international was an important part of the side which missed out on survival last season and believes Burnley are among the favourites for promotion.
"We're back in the Championship now which is a tough league but we're confident and positive of the season ahead," he said.
Burnley enjoyed an undefeated pre-season tour of Singapore, winning the FIS Asian Challenge Cup.
