Burnley manager Owen Coyle has vowed not to be overawed by Manchester City's expensively-assembled squad when he travels to Eastlands on Saturday.

Coyle oversees the smallest budget in the Premier League while City boss Mark Hughes has spent over £200m on players.

Coyle told BBC Radio Lancashire: "Mark Hughes is a very talented manager. But after raising expectations the fans will be looking out for honours.

"We'll pay them the utmost respect but will concentrate on what we can do."

They continue to give me everything they've got and that's all I'm asking for

Striker Steven Fletcher became the Burnley's record signing in June after completing a £3m move from Hibernian.

By comparison, City paid £25m during the summer for Arsenal's Emmanuel Adebayor and another £22m for Joleon Lescott from Everton.

"They [Burnley] continue to give me everything they've got and that's all I'm asking for," Coyle added.

"It certainly doesn't involve the £200m they have but we'll look to get the best out of our group of players.

"Mark [Hughes] has huge wealth at his disposal. Having said that, there's been times when he hasn't and he's earned his name at being very good at what he does."
