Bristol Rovers sign Rene Howe and Scott Davies on loan
Howe has already been on loan at Rushden & Diamonds this season
Bristol Rovers have signed Peterborough striker Rene Howe and Reading midfielder Scott Davies on month-long loan deals.
Howe, 24, has been on loan this season at Rushden & Diamonds while Davies, 22, has had a spell at Wycombe Wanderers.
"Scott is a midfielder who we've known about for a while and gives us another body in midfield," manager Dave Penney told the club website.
Both players go into the squad for Rovers' match at Walsall on Saturday.
Pirates chairman Nick Higgs added: "We are very pleased to welcome two new players to the squad today.
Hopefully these two new faces will help freshen things up, and help us in our push to move up the table.

"Dave Penney identified the areas of the team that needed strengthening and has worked hard to bring in players to help us improve as a team.

Howe has not played a first team match for Peterborough for over three years and has had spells on loan at Gillingham, Lincoln, Morecambe and Rochdale.
This season he has scored six goals in 19 league games for Blue Square Bet Premier side Rushden & Diamonds.
Davies signed for Reading in 2006 and has had two loan spells at Aldershot during the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons.
On his return to the Madejski Stadium he made the first of his eight league appearances for the Royals, against Nottingham Forest in August 2009.
Davies then followed this up with two separate spells at League Two outfit Wycombe with four-game stint at Yeovil in between.
