Murray scored 91 goals in 427 appearances for Bristol City
Scott Murray sees his long-term future at Bristol City, despite signing a one-year deal to play at Yeovil.
The 35-year-old, who played 427 games in two spells with City, joined the Glovers on Wednesday.
But the winger will continue to work at the Robins' academy, helping with the club's Under-16s.
Murray told BBC Somerset: "When I've parked up my boots and decided to stop playing I'm sure I'll be back at Ashton Gate in some capacity, definitely."
Murray played just three games for City last season and spent three months on loan at Cheltenham Town.
He also worked with the Under-14s and manager Gary Johnson has previously stated that he is open to the idea of the Scot working for the club when his playing days are over.
Murray added: "John Clayton, the academy manager, is still very keen for me to go up there during the season.
"That's something I want to do when I finish playing so obviously I want to get myself some experience doing it."
