Bristol City manager Gary Johnson refused to be downcast despite seeing his side lose 2-0 in the FA Cup at Ashton Gate to holders Portsmouth.
"We gave it a good go and I'm proud of the lads, hopefully we've kept our reputation as a club intact after this," Johnson told BBC Sport.
"We worked really hard and we're a bit disappointed with a couple of the decisions that went against us.
"But they just had that bit more quality in and around the penalty box."
Johnson added: "We competed and we were part of a game that had highlights and our performance had highlights - that's very important to us.
"We've got to take that performance into the Wolves game on Saturday as get a result and that's even more important."
