Orr was named in last season's Championship team of the year.

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson says he and Bradley Orr are adopting a professional approach to the defender's situation at the club.

The 26-year-old right-back was placed on the transfer list last month after he rejected a new contract.

Johnson told BBC Radio Bristol: "He's a professional, I'm a professional and we have to do it properly.

"I'm discussing with him each day what my plans are and why I'm either playing him or leaving him out."

It had been understood that Orr would not return to the first team until the situation had been resolved but he was named in the starting 11 against Burnley on Saturday after City were hit by injuries.

Despite this, Johnson is unsure whether Orr will feature against Watford on Boxing Day.

"It's too soon to say. I'll make a decision on that if and when I need to," Johnson said.
