Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has stepped up his search for new players, by making bids for two targets.

Johnson, who is yet to make any new signings this summer, is now awaiting responses from the clubs concerned.

The City boss will not reveal the names of the players he is pursuing, or the clubs involved.

Johnson said: "It's important to keep the identities to ourselves. It's the wrong way to go about it if you start discussing the clubs or players."
