 Brooker has been given time to return from injury |
Bristol City manager Gary Johnson says he will not rush Steve Brooker back into first team action after injury. Brooker, 26, is back in full-time training after undergoing two knee operations in the past seven months.
"His knee is fine, but we have to be careful we don't work him too hard and risk him picking up other injuries," Johnson told the Bristol Evening Post.
"He still needs games. We have a couple lined up before Christmas, one official and the other behind closed doors."
Johnson added: "It's a case of getting his body and mind back to maximum sharpness and then assessing things again."
