Brooker's last first-team game for City was on 7 April

The 27-year-old has not played a first-team game since April and has had two knee operations since that time.

Brooker scored once and had two other good efforts saved in the Robins' 2-1 win over the Grecians.

Manager Gary Johnson told the City website: "He looked sharp and showed glimpses of the Brooks we know. We're delighted he's on the way back."
