The Northern Ireland international, 26, joins on a free transfer after having his contract at Preston North End terminated during the transfer window.

City boss Gary Johnson told the club website: "I tried to sign Andy once before but Championship clubs came calling and he joined Preston.

"He has been training with us for a week before signing a contract. He's hard-working and can also play wide."
