Scotland caps will help me - Brighton's Mackail-Smith
Mackail-Smith has scored once in four appearances for Scotland
Brighton striker Craig Mackail-Smith hopes to build on the momentum of his first goal for Scotland.
The 27-year-old scored in Friday's 1-0 win over Liechtenstein before also starting against Spain.
"It's nice to have been recognised for the national team, but I'll keep working hard on playing for Brighton and scoring goals," he told BBC Sussex.
"It's been a long 10 days but I'm still buzzing about playing against Spain and scoring my first international goal."
He added: "I'll just keep doing what I'm doing and, if I get the chance again, to play for Scotland I'll try and repeat what I've been doing."
Mackail-Smith hopes Albion can return to winning ways after picking up one point from the last 12 on offer in the Championship.
"I think the international break came at a good time for us," he said. "It's given the boys a chance to recuperate and appreciate where we are in the league at the moment.
"If you said we'd have been fifth, we would have taken that.
"It's now about pushing on and making sure we are there or thereabouts come January."
