Brighton League One title 'greatest honour' for Dicker
Dicker joined Brighton in summer 2009 after a successful loan spell
Brighton midfielder Gary Dicker says being crowned champions of League One is better than promotion at Wembley.
The 24-year-old was part of the Stockport side which won promotion in the League Two play-off final at the national stadium in 2008.
But Dicker told BBC Sussex: "To win the league the way we have, with so many points when we weren't favourites, has been my greatest honour in football.
"This is better than Wembley. The table proves we've been the best team."
Meanwhile Dicker hopes that playing in the Championship next season may force him into Giovanni Trapattoni's plans for the Republic of Ireland national team.
The former Stockport player has appeared for both the Under-19 and Under-21 sides, but never been capped for the senior team.
"I think you've got to be playing in the Championship or the Premier League to get recognition," Dicker continued.
"It's another thing that comes if you're playing well.
"If you're doing the business at Brighton then the rest looks after itself."
