Brighton and Hove Albion have signed Newcastle United winger Kazenga LuaLua on loan and bought Norwegian striker Torbjorn Agdestein.
Wide man LuaLua, 19, who has been tracked by Gus Poyet all summer, played 11 games for the Seagulls last season.
He is on loan until 3 January, but not available for this week's Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash with Leyton Orient.
Agdestein, 18, joins for a nominal fee from Norwegian side Stord FC and has signed a one-year deal.
The under-19 international will join Albion's development squad.
Manager Gus Poyet said: "He is a young talent, and we were told he is very quick and direct. We looked at him and that information was right.
"I want him to be pushing for a place in the first-team squad."
