Brighton manager Gus Poyet has made three transfer dealings in a busy day.
Defender Gavin Hoyte has extended his loan deal until the end of the season, while winger Seb Carole has re-signed and Marcos Painter has joined.
Arsenal's Hoyte, 19, has made 14 appearances for Albion, while Carole, 27, starts his third period at the Withdean on a week-to-week deal.
Defender Painter, 23, has joined on loan from Championship side Swansea until the end of the season.
Hoyte had carried on training with the Seagulls even though his loan deal had expired on 2 January.
Frenchman Carole, who has made 54 appearances for Brighton, left Tranmere earlier this season.
