Brighton defender Colin Hawkins feels aggrieved at the referee's decision to award a penalty which knocked his side out of the FA Cup.
Hawkins was alleged to have fouled Hartlepool's Joel Porter, who scored from the spot, in Tuesday's 2-1 defeat.
Hawkins told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "It's disheartening to lose to a referee's decision like that.
"We didn't start the second half very well but held out OK, then that knocked the stuffing out of us."
