Kerr was having talks with Toronto earlier this month

League One side Brighton are giving a trial to former Scotland and Hibernian midfielder Brian Kerr.

The 26-year-old is training with the Seagulls and is expected to feature in the Sussex Senior Cup match with Crawley Town on Tuesday, 30 September.

Kerr won three caps for Scotland under Berti Vogts but was released by Hibernian in September.

He began his career at Newcastle and has also played for Coventry and his home town club Motherwell.
