Brighton striker Nicky Forster says it is wrong that clubs are heading into the finale of the League One season not knowing about Leeds' points penalty.

The Seagulls are the only side who can currently catch Leeds for a place in the play-offs.

Forster told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "There's rumours going around about this and that - that seventh place will get into the playoffs."

"It's too late in the season for these ifs and buts."

An independent arbitration panel is currently deciding whether Leeds' 15-point deduction from the start of the season for breaking League rules should be upheld, reduced or removed.

Forster added: "If they win at Yeovil (on Friday) and we can't make it that's fine but the cloud hanging over about points is disappointing. That should have been sorted out before now."
