He scored 13 goals in 19 games during a recent three-month loan at Worthing.

Albion had hoped to arrange a six-month deal with Worthing for Gargan, 19, to stay on but were prevented by Ryman League rules.

"Sam has gone and we are working on getting the other first-year pros to as high a level as possible," boss Dean Wilkins told Brighton's website.
