Brighton manager Dean Wilkins has signed former Gillingham striker Bas Savage, who had been a free agent, on a year's contract. The 25-year-old left Gillingham earlier this week after rejecting a new deal at the Priestfield Stadium.
He has signed a contract which keeps him at Withdean until 31 December.
"Dean wants to develop my game and work with me. He sees a lot of potential with me, so it was an easy choice," he told BBC Southern Counties Radio.
"I just want to get into the first team, work hard on the pitch and the rest will follow."
Savage began his league career at Reading and has also played for Wycombe, Bury and Bristol City.
