Kazim-Richards' transfer request was rejected by the Seagulls |
Striker Colin Kazim-Richards has reiterated his desire to leave Brighton in a statement issued by his management group to BBC Southern Counties Radio. The 19-year-old recently had a transfer request rejected, while Barnsley have admitted their interest in the player.
"Colin still feels his future lies away from Brighton," the statement read.
"This follows the club's refusal to meet with him and his advisers to clear the air. Colin feels the club's valuation of him is unrealistic."
Manager Mark McGhee previously stated that the ex-Bury man, who is under contract at Withdean until 2008, had "no grounds" to hand in a transfer request.
"We'll keep working with Colin to convince him that he does have a future here," he said at the time.
