Strevens joined Brentford from Dagenham in the summer

Brentford's summer signing Ben Strevens could be in line for his long awaited debut next month.

The striker broke his leg in pre-season having moved to Griffin Park from Dagenham & Redbridge weeks earlier.

Full-back Ryan Dickson is also returning to training this week, after a month out with an ankle problem.

Manager Andy Scott told BBC London 94.9: "We're hopeful Dicko will train on Thursday. Strev has been doing some kicking, he's probably two weeks away."

"The work they have put in has been outstanding, the fitness of both the lads has been terrific.

"[Sports scientist] Alastair Lane has been fantastic with both lads while they haven't been able to do contact training.

"We're hopeful that when they are ready for games they'll be match fit."
