Dyke has been Brentford chairman since January 2006
Brentford chairman Greg Dyke has slammed the Football Association's decision to reject an appeal to overturn Nathan Elder's red card.
The striker will serve a four-match ban after an alleged elbow on Mike Edwards in the 1-1 draw with Notts County.
"Everyone at Brentford finds the decision incomprehensible," Dyke told the club website.
"There was not a person in the ground that I met who believed the decision of the referee was fair and reasonable."
Dyke continued: "This is the first time in all the years I have been involved in football that I have felt compelled to speak out about a refereeing decision.
"Referees' decisions like these are spoiling the enjoyment of the game for the fans."
The dismissal by referee Stuart Attwell, who awarded Reading a goal at Watford after the ball went out of play earlier this season, was Elder's second of the season.
The striker was making his comeback from suspension against Notts County following a red card against Gillingham in December, and as a result he receives an increased ban.
He misses games against Macclesfield, Aldershot, Shrewsbury and Morecambe.
