Brentford striker Nathan Elder has signed a one-year extension to his existing contract at Griffin Park.
The 21-year-old, a 35,000 signing from Brighton in January, agreed a deal that lasts until the summer of 2010.
Bees boss Andy Scott told the club website: "It's still early days in terms of Nathan's career.
"He is an asset to the club and in time he can be an even bigger asset. If he continues to improve he can be a valuable player for us."
Elder picked up his fifth booking of the season in last weekend's draw with Shrewsbury Town, as a result will miss Saturday's home game against Rochdale.
The forward has scored eight goals in 29 games for Brentford.
