Chester ended their eight-match winless run in style by sending high-flying Brentford to an embarrassing defeat.
Brentford's Marcus Bean hit the bar on 24 minutes and Chester made the Bees pay one minute later as Ryan Lowe produced a confident finish.
Chester doubled the advantage on 57 minutes when a cross from Lowe was met by a bullet header from Kevin Roberts.
And Lowe beat the offside trap to race on to Mark Hughes' pass and slide the ball in off the post to make it 3-0.
