Abbey started his much-travelled career at Luton in 1995 |
Brentford have signed goalkeeper Nathan Abbey on a four-month contract. The 28-year-old had been on weekly emergency loan deals with the Bees since arriving at the end of December.
Manager Scott Fitzgerald brought in Abbey after first-choice keepers Stuart Nelson and Clark Masters were both sidelined by injury at the same time.
Fitzgerald told the club website: "It's important as during the continued absence of Nelson, it would be unfair to rely solely on Masters."
