Midfielder James O'Brien has left Bradford City by mutual consent.
The 20-year-old had 10 months left to run on his current deal but he and manager Peter Taylor have agreed to terminate the contract.
Irishman O'Brien is returning to Dublin to join Airtricity Premier Division leaders St Patrick's Athletic.
He initially joined Bradford from Birmingham City on a three-month contract but signed a new 18-month deal in October 2009.
