Bradford complete deal for Flynn

Bradford City have completed the signing of former Gillingham midfielder Michael Flynn.

Flynn, 28, arrives on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town, after one season at the Galpharm Stadium.

"I've gone from an ambitious League One club dropping to Bradford City who are as a club better than League Two," Flynn told BBC Radio Leeds.

"They're also ambitious as well so that was a key factor that they're going to be contenders come the end of May."

After a good start for the Terriers, the Welshman found himself out of favour under Lee Clark and spent time on loan at League Two side Darlington.

Now, Flynn is happy to have the chance to play some first-team football and play under a manager he revered.

"Stuart McCall has tried to sign me on numerous occasions and he's someone that I admired as a player with his honest, hard working attitude.

"He played at the top level with Bradford as well and I just hope his infectiousness will rub off on the rest of the squad because he's definitely a good character," he added.

Flynn will wear the number four shirt for the Bantams, a number previously worn by manager McCall.
