Bradford City's 27-year-old defender Matthew Clarke has extended his contract for another year.
Clarke will be paid on appearance because his injuries mean he has only played 24 times in two years.
Manager Stuart McCall told the Telegraph & Argus: "He understands that it has to be incentive based because of the amount of games that he's played.
"I'm pleased with Clarkey's attitude because he has taken quite a large drop in his wage."
Clarke is the third player after Paul Heckingbottom and Peter Thorne to agree to a reduced offer for next season.
"At this level, there's no doubt that if Clarkey plays to his full potential he can be one of the top defenders," McCall said.
"He has the height, pace and strength you need at the back and will be a good asset for us as long as he maintains his fitness."
Clarke has been out injured for the last two months and will not recover in time to feature before the end of the season.
Hopefully now I can look forward to an injury-free season and prove to myself that I can play a full year

He said: "Obviously you do get a little bit worried when you are injured and out of contract so this has come as a massive relief.
"It's been a bit of a nightmare couple of years because of the injuries.
"The little niggles where you are out for two or three weeks are more frustrating than the one I've got at the moment, which could have happened to anybody.
"Hopefully now I can look forward to an injury-free season and prove to myself that I can play a full year."
