Bradford are hoping to attract young talent from across the world by forging a partnership with a Belgian club. The Bantams are close to doing a deal with Royal Racing FC Montegnee in Liege who act as an academy for youngsters chiefly from north and south America.
City joint chairman Mark Lawn told the Telegraph & Argus: "The idea is to get the best youth from all over the world and take them to Belgium.
"Then we bring them into the English game which is where we come in."

Racing owner Paul Topping has already helped Chile international Willy Topp move to Bradford, and although there are problems with a permanent transfer, Lawn is confident the tie-up will benefit City.
"A lot of players are going to be south American but Paul has just set up another three academies in Calgary, Canada.
"They have 30,000 youngsters playing soccer in that country and nobody is looking at them.
"And if the players who come over are sold on for a fee, then 50% will go back to the Belgian club."
Lawn is also hoping to send Bradford's fringe players the other way.
"We've got too big a squad and we might be able to shift the likes of Craig Bentham and Tom Penford over there to get them back on form," he added.
