Former Southampton and Derby midfielder Inigo Idiakez is training with League Two side Bournemouth with a view to earning a contract.
The Spaniard was released by Saints during the summer and has been recovering from an Achilles injury.
Boss Jimmy Quinn told BBC Radio Solent: "I don't know how fit he is, but I know he's a decent player. He's certainly got quality.
"I've agreed to have a look at him over the next week or two."

Idiakez's family have settled on the south coast and he has been looking for a club.
Quinn added: "We'll hopefully get him playing in a reserve game and then make a decision for January.
"He's had an Achilles problem and had a minor operation. It's taken him five months but he's back to fitness now and has been working hard.
"He may be a younger version of Darren Anderton, who's just retired, but there are no guarantees. We'll see what he's like."
