Cummings upset at failed takeover

Warren Cummings
Cummings wants the club's off-field problems sorted out quickly

Bournemouth defender Warren Cummings has labelled the off-field uncertainty at the club as "embarrassing".

The Cherries were set to be taken over by EU UK Ltd, but the company pulled out of the deal at the eleventh hour.

And after other false dawns regarding the future of the club, Cummings says the "soap opera" is filtering through to the players.

"It's impossible to ignore. The whole thing is frankly embarrassing for the club," Cummings told BBC Radio Solent.

"It's embarrassing for the image of the football club, and also for everyone involved in the football club.

"All we want to do is get results, but the club's name is getting dragged through the mud.

"It's a bit of a soap opera and we can't control it, but we talk about it and we want it sorted just as much as the fans do," he added.
