Moss was stretchered off and had eight stitches around his lips |
Bournemouth keeper Neil Moss has been ruled out for 10 days after he suffered a facial injury and mild concussion in Tuesday's defeat by Milton Keynes Dons. Moss needed eight stitches after he was caught by the boot of Dons midfielder Mark Wright just before half-time in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game.
He will now miss Sunday's game at Hartlepool, as well as next Tuesday's FA Cup replay against Barrow.
Gareth Stewart, who replaced Moss against the Dons, is set to deputise.
Cherries manager Bond said he did not wish to comment on the incident, which saw Wright yellow-carded, as he had not seen it.
However, Dons boss Paul Ince stated that he "didn't think it was a foul" and claimed the Bournemouth players were "out of order for trying to get him (Wright) sent off".
Meanwhile, Bond lamented his lack of options after his injury-hit side, who had eight players unavailable, went out of the Trophy.
"We never gave ourselves a chance by giving away two bad goals so early on," he said.
"But I've got to go into the next game with the same players.
"I can't even rest someone, which is never a healthy situation. The players know that they'll keep their places, and I feel uncomfortable with that."
